The 'New Hardware Wizard' is requesting the disc containing drivers

If the found new hardware wizard requests that you insert a disc containing the software for the USB modem, the following steps can help Windows locate these drivers.
 
• Click Install from a list or specific location
• Check that Search for Best Driver and Search Removable Media are ticked
• Select Include this location in the search
• Open My Computer and select the Vodafone CD Drive (it may be labelled VMC or something similar)
• Click Next.
